don’t want to sound all doom and gloom, but if Romney somehow wins this fall and isn’t keen to keep Michelle Obama’s awesome South Lawn garden producing, this could be your last shot at glimpsing it.
The White House has announced the 2012 Fall Gardens Tour – with tickets available via lottery for October 13th & 14th, and the 20th. As a bonus (and nod to the online community), the Administration will also offer a special “White House Social” October 19th for social media friends. The idea was inspired by a similar program setup by NASA for its Twitter followers.
“White House Social is an in-person meeting of people who engage with the White House through social media, including Twitter, Facebook, and Google+. Building off of the White House Tweetup series, White House Social is an opportunity for people that engage with the White House across several social platforms to get together and particpate in face-to-face meetings.”
The social tour will include the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, Rose Garden, and South Lawn, including the White House Kitchen Garden.
To enter to win a shot at attending (remember, you have to be able to get to D.C. Tickets are non-transferable), jump here. Oh, and bring us back some honey.
