| Dear Robert, Please be on the look out for a golden yellow tri-fold pamphletwhich has been sent to Town residents in the mail. This pamphlet contains a listing of our recreation programs offered for Winter 2012. Also, please make note that mail-in registration begins Monday, December 5th and walk-in registration begins Tuesday, December 13th. | Winter 2012 Brochure In an effort to conserve resources, we are no longer printing and mailing thousands of brochures to residential homes in the Town. From now on, we would like the majority of residents to access the brochure online. From now on, the tri-fold pamphlet listing our program offerings will be mailed to all residents. The pamphlet informs you what is available and directs you to the on-line brochure for more complete information. We are still printing a smaller amount of brochures which will be available for pick-up at various locations around Town including Hergenhan Recreation Center, the North Castle Community Center, Town Hall, and the North Castle Public Library to name a few. We hope you will be satisfied and even pleased with our new system. | Frosty the Snowman Day Saturday, December 10th “Frosty Day” starts at 12 noon with a Frosty scavenger hunt for kids, based out of the Hergenhan Recreation Center at 40 Maple Avenue. From 2-4 PM, two events will take place. Guests are welcome to visit Smith’s Tavern for the North Castle Historical Society Open House at 440 Bedford Road while the North Castle Public Library at 19 Whippoorwill Road will be offering Frosty cartoons, cookies, and cider. The Frosty Parade will be held in downtown Armonk starting at 4:30 PM, followed by a gala holiday lighting in Wampus Brook Park at 5 PM. From 5-6 PM, the Winter Walk will take place in several areas around town, with hayrides, singers, a visit to Santa, along with the warm wishes and good cheer of the season by merchants and businesses. | If the North Castle Recreation Office staff can be of any assistance to you, please call us at 273-3325 or visit us any weekday between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM at our offices at Hergenhan Recreation Center, excluding holidays. We can also be reached at recreation@NorthCastleNY.com. Our office will be closed Thursday and Friday November 24 and 25 for Thanksgiving. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday!
