Bedford NY Real Estate area Rental Market | RobReportBlog
October 2011
The NY Times called me to ask about the local real estate rental market. NYC has a booming rental market and people wanted to hear whether the northern suburbs were booming too. Often people talk about the market without looking at the statistics. I told the reporter I would look at the numbers and send her a report. Here are the numbers by the surrounding Towns.
Bedford NY Rentals down 34% to 44 in 2011 compared to 67 last year.
Lewisboro NY Rentals down 20% to 44 in 2011 compared to 53 last year.
New Castle NY Rentals up 20% to 58 in 2011 compared to 48 last year.
Pound Ridge NY Rentals are flat at 23 in 2011 compared to 23 last year.
North Castle NY Rentals up 38% to 36 in 2011 compared to 26 last year.
Areas closer to NYC are having a jump in rentals. Conversely their sales numbers have dropped. Call me to find out more about the local rental market.
